Sorry for the spam…

…but without spam, life would be very boring - wouldn’t it?

Anyway, half an hour ago I decided to import my Tumblr blog into my WordPress blog. This would help with my plans to alternate between Tumblr and my WordPress blog for posts and stuff, but something went horribly wrong.

Turns out, I had completely forgotten about my dlvr.it setup which took the RSS feed of my WordPress blog and published the new items to Tumblr. And being a machine, and a web machine at that, it wasn’t smart enough to realize what it was posting was already on the Tumblr blog.

Not only that, but each new post to the Tumblr blog got sent to Twitter and Facebook, causing mayhem and chaos and mad chainsaw-wielding chipmunks to wage war against my awesomeness.

It was a bloody war, but it’s over now, and I’d like to apologize for the little spam epidemic that went on ;)

Here’s a little diagram: Import to LucasBlog > New content on LucasBlog is published on TumbLucas > New content on TumbLucas is published to Twitter and Facebook.

Anyway, it’s all cleaned up.

Yay for Tumblr!

New Project: Uber Troll

Came up with a great idea for a new Tumblog today: A blog about the troll meme.

There’s tons of content out there to find and put on there, so this should go a lot better than the SpammerBlog. And it’s really easy to find new images.

I’ve already got 6 posts queued and people are reblogging the two I’ve already posted, so this is going great.

Forum News

Came up with this awesome idea: Start a blog about what’s going on in forums.
With breaking news and everything, basically a mockery of a real news site, but about forums and online community and discussion sites.
I plan to pull content from the announcement sections on various forums, then blog about it in a serious, newsy way. Should be fun.

I think I’ll start it as a Tumblog at first, then see how traffic does and maybe eventually get a domain and use WordPress. http://bit.ly/ulmjRu

The thing I like most about Tumblr?

I can view people’s stuff without having to see their blog. And if their blog has a horrible theme, then my eyes won’t be burned out of their sockets.

This, my friends, is the wonderful thing called Tumblr love.

Sometimes I am torn between WordPress and Tumblr…

Quite sad really.
